The East Kilbride Run Free dog fields are located just beyond Nerston on the road to Cathkin. The position of the fields gives a great view across the city of Glasgow. The three enclosed dog walking fields, are roughly the same size. Each field also has its own separate car parking area. There may be cattle or sheep in the fields near the dog runs.
The Cathkin enclosed dog park is roughly the same size as a football pitch and is similar in size to the Nerston field. This gives lots of open grass for your dogs to run free. There is a shelter, and picnic table in the field, giving you options for all weather conditions. The unloading area allows you to get your dog straight from the car into the field.

Heading from the Kingsgate in East Kilbride to Cambuslang on the A749 dual carriageway, turn right across the carriageway after Nerston, just before you come to Kirkhill Golf Course. Follow the road for 600m and the entrance is on the right.
From Rutherglen and Cambuslang head along the A749 towards East Kilbride. Once you have passed Kirkhill Golf Course turn left off the dual carriageway at the sign for High Blantyre. Follow the road for 600m and the entrance is on the right.
