Inchinnan (near Paisley)

The two fields at Inchinnan are very accessible being only a few minutes from junction 29 of the M8 motorway.  The Meadow Field is a large open grass field, where your dog can run free and you are welcome to bring toys or training equipment for them.  The Fun Field has many natural features in it, including tree trunks for your dog to sniff and explore, but there is still lots of open space to run and exercise in too. Directions: Take junction 29 of the M8 motorway and follow the signs to A726 Erskine.  Opposite Inchinnan Industrial Est, turn left on B790 to Houston.  The Run Free car park is 700m along on right hand side, and clearly signposted.


Our Cambuslang location is just of the A724 between Cambuslang and Blantyre, just minutes from the East Kilbride Expressway. Our Country Field is designed to replicate the natural open countryside. The field has some small trees and the ground is uneven in places but there’s a big area for your dog to go and explore. This is our driest field so ideal to use during wet weather. Directions: Our fields are signposted from the A724 at the Flemington Care Home.

Port Glasgow

The Port Glasgow – Kilmacolm Field is a gently undulating field with several trees in it. There is lots of space for your dog to explore. Directions: From Port Glasgow High School follow the A761 towards Kilmacolm and after 0.75 miles Run Free is on the right. From Kilmacolm take the A761 Port Glasgow Road and after a mile Run Free is on your left.


The Bishopton field is less than a mile from Ingliston Country Club, on the Houston Road, near the Formakin Estate. It can be easily accessed from junction 31 of the M8 motorway or via Bishopton. The field is on a gentle slope and has tree trunks for your dog to explore. The field is surrounded by trees and car parking is very close to the field entrance. Directions: Leave Bishopton heading for the Ingliston Country Club, but follow the signs for Bishopton Cemetery. Continue past the cemetery for half a mile and Run Free is clearly signposted on the left.


The Bearsden fields are located opposite Faifley, just off the A810 (Duntocher Road) between Bearsden and Duntocher., opposite Faifley. The fields have great views across the city. Car parking is at Lawmuir Farm steading. Directions: From Bearsden follow the A810 in the direction of Erskine Bridge. Run Free is located on the left before Clydebank Golf Course. From Duntocher follow the signs to Bearsden and Run Free is on the right after the golf course. The postcode is G81 5QT.


The Kirkliston – Big Field is the largest Run Free field, with a massive area for your dog to explore. The gently sloping grass is perfect for exercising the most energetic dogs.

Kirkliston – Activity Field has basic agility equipment for your dog to jump over and run through. There is lots of open space for your dog to stretch its legs too.

Directions: From Newbridge roundabout take the A89 towards Broxburn, then turn right onto the A800 to Kirkliston.  In Kirkliston go straight through the traffic lights on Main Street.  Pass under the bridge and the field is immediately on the left.


The Castlecary field is conveniently located just off the M80 at the Castlecary arches. When coming from Stirling you will be at the field within a minute of leaving the M80. The field is gently sloping, surrounded by trees and car parking is close to the entrance. Directions: From Stirling leave the M80 at J6A. Turn right onto the B816, then a quick left onto Walton Road. Pass under arches and the field is 400m on right. From Glasgow leave M80 at J6. Follow B816 through Wardpark and Castlecary. Once you cross the M80 turn first right onto Walton Road. Pass under arches and the field is 400m on right. The postcode is FK4 2HP.


Our Stirling location is conveniently located a few minutes from J9 of the M9 and M80. The flat grass field is perfect for letting your dog run free. Directions: From the A872 in St Ninians turn onto Barnsdale Road. Keep left past the shops then take the 3rd road on the right. At the staggered junction go straight ahead, follow the road which then turns to the left. Pass over the M9 and Run Free is signposted on the left. From Cambusbarron take Polmaise Road, then turn left onto Gateside Road. Run Free will be on your right.


Our Elsrickle field is located just outside the village Elsrickle, just minutes from Biggar. The field is free draining and gentle sloping with car parking next to the entrance.
Directions: Heading from Carluke to Peebles on the A721, turn right off the A721 onto Biggarshields Road, just before the village of Elsrickle. The field is 300m on the left. If coming from the A702 Edinburgh Road, turn onto the A721, pass through Elsrickle, then take 1st left onto Biggarshiels Road. The field is 300m on the left. Heading from Biggar take the B7016, then keep right onto Biggarshiels Road. The field is then approximately 3 miles on the right.
